today the car was running as i was giving someone a jump start when i went to the drivers door to open it and the car was locked when it was still running. this sometimes happens as i start to drive all the doors will lock i have taken the key fob apart there is nothing wrong there so is there something else could be wrong with it i have a spare key but it does not work even though Ive changed the battery but i can still access the car manually good job in this case any ideas anyone??? :? |

Hi, I have a similar problem.
This started approx. two weeks ago after the really cold spell and the snow. We only knew there might be a problem beacause the central locking started to click in whilst driving. And when parked up hazard lights would flash on and off in no particular pattern and vehicle dead-locks itself. Became stranded at work once when the car locked itself with keys in ignition and engine running. Seems to have fits and starts with this problem, fob still works and from a distance, so I reckon no is no signal strength problem from fob to car. if anyone has any ideas what this may be, please give us a shout. Cheers |
