No pulling of the engine and a warning light

Hello again,

after introducing myself I'm now here with my first set of questions.
After replacing the headgasket on our '91 skoda favorit ecotronic we are encountering 3 problems...

1. The cars not really pulling in all gears (worst in 4th and 5th)
it seems to be stuck in the middle of a gear for a while and after at least
thirty seconds picks it up again and pulls through (WEIRD!! ohmy.gif )
2. An orange light is displayed in the dash and I really don't know what it
means (HELP!!)

3. The cars seems to need a lot of use of the choke (is this normal)

Any advice would be very welcome

Choke units of Favorit cars must be automatic. According to the wheather conditions it may be in use for a short or long time.
If a Favorit does not pull itself, especially igniton, carburettor (or whatever) an clutch must be tested very carefully.
